I am a tech lead for a non-profit children's theater. We are budget-constrained, as you may imagine, and this light initially appeared to be a good light for our budget. However, shortly after purchase one set of lights "stuck" on and would not turn off. They did not respond to DMX control, and were therefore rendered useless for theater purposes. The light was still under warranty, though, so we assumed we could get the problem fixed. The light bar started malfunctioning after the initial 30-day Amazon warranty was up, but prior to the one year manufacturer (Pulse) warranty was up. Because Adventurer's Bag (A.B.) went by the Amazon return policy, and not the explicitly-stated-in-the-owner's-manual manufacturer's warranty, refused to accept a return. Pulse, their warranty saying that returns should be sent to the seller, was pretty much non-responsive. Amazon sent emails to A.B. to no effect. An Amazon rep called me, promised to investigate what could be done and would call back two days later. No follow-up phone call came. This back and forth, and waiting for responses that never came, took this beyond the manufacturer's warranty period. So now we have a non-functional light, and further recourse is likely not cost effective for a non-profit theater. We will not be purchasing any more Pulse lights, or from Adventurer's Bag. I hope this experience was an outlier, but customer service across the board was unacceptably poor. This will likely show up as not verified, but that is because the light was purchased under an account owned by one of the theater board members. If any of the parties involved want history, I have retained all emails and documentation related to the attempt to get warranty repair or replacement.
