The original LED light bar, the Rigid Industries E-Series was the first projected LED light bar. Since its introduction in 2006, the E-Series light bar has set the standard in the industry through continuing advances in technology and superior engineering. Available in a wide range of lengths and configurations, Rigid Industries' flagship is the light bar of choice for everything from light truck or car applications and vehicle race teams to farming equipment and police or fire rescue vehicles. The E-Series light bar is designed to project light at extreme distances while consuming very little power. It features an extruded aluminum housing and polycarbonate lens that is sealed against the elements to provide years of trouble-free operation. Specter Optics - Rigid Industries' patented Specter optics system features 50 percentage more LED's than Rigid Industries' Hybrid optics in the same footprint and is specifically designed to cover more area. By incorporating a reflector with no facets or orange peel, the Specter optics system produces an intense, smooth beam with minimal wasted light. Quality construction Rigid Industries' circuitry is designed in-house to be more powerful, be more efficient, and generate less heat. Rigid Industries' durable aluminum housings feature custom, over-sized heat sinks which keep the temperature down and allow Rigid Industries' LED's to run cooler and brighter. All Rigid Industries LED lights receive a high quality powder coat finish, a custom-molded rubber seal, and an unbreakable, scratch resistant lens. Rigid Industries LED lights are engineered to withstand whatever you, the road, or nature can throw at them. I researched rally lights and came across Rigid Industries (beyond reputable for baja rally lights) and ended up buying their LED 10" E2 Combo lights with the separate bracket to mount on the front of the car. These are obviously illegal, but was told it would be an insane amount of light cast on the road. Total was around ~$510 shipped to my house.Result:Lights are great. I do a lot of rally style driving at night around midnight -> 3am. Although I was told the amount of light would be "dangerous" I would classify the effect as 'just' "illegal" enough for road use. Anything beyond what I have now would just be overkill. According to the specs this thing throws light around 2/3 of a mile down the road. I'd say usable visibility is good for a half mile. The combination of the new ZXE highbeams + the LED light bar casts ample and a ton of more usable light on the road. The overall take from this is that I feel much more comfortable with my style of driving at night. I am able to plan far ahead in advance for upcoming turns, obstacles and deer.I thought about the 20" LED Rigid Industries E2 Combo bar (would have been around $950 shipped to my house, there are some good deals on Amazon though). However my Jeep friends advised that it would be "too much light." I think in retrospect I would have not minded the 20" bar, but I'm not ready to spend nearly $1,000 on lights when the car still needs a better set of tires and sway bars.Quality is fantastic! I have other Rigid Industries lights and they are all awesome. My only complaint is the giant hotspot in the middle.. It would be nice if they could smooth out the transition from the "driving" pattern on the sides, to the "hyperspot" in the middle. Its kind of annoying to see a big hotspot bouncing around while you drive. Looking back- I would NOT buy the Combo, but buy the driving pattern instead.. The combo isn't great for distance or flood, merely acceptable. Pick either all spot, or all flood for the 10"...I love this baby, i bought two of these lights for use on my Toyota Hilux, these amount of light are Totally insane, just need to be carefull with other drivers, spot light are extremelly long, but combined two combo led bar, it's like a ligthing storm at nigth ilumimates the dark ground of the forest, only complaint these aren't a easy way to install two led bar together using one switch.Remenber be carefully with others drivers. The material quality it's superior, accidentally i drop down, It broke my nail, broke the floor, but the led bar :Nothing!.. No one scratch!!Update :my high beam seems like a yellowish candle compared to led bars.lolFor a small package, this packs a punch. I put this light on the front of my ranchhand bumper on my Ram 2500, and it is nothing short of impressive. The hyperspot beam puts a beam out to 900m I believe, and that's no lie. I've used it a few times on the highway at night (no traffic), and it turns night to day, turn it off and you'll wonder if your driving by moonlight. I can't imagine a 50in bar.Was worried that the cheap ones from Amazon and Ebay would just as bright and just not last as long. But let me just say WOW. The Brightness of this Rigid Industries 17831 E2-Series 10" Driving/Hyperspot Combo LED Light Bar is WAY brighter. I would love bigger one for my truck. But I'm not spending that muchGreat light output without warmup and can stop a bullet. This a great light. A lot of power and illumination in a small package. If space is limited, this is all the light you need. You get what you pay for and this light is worth every penny. It knocks those cheap lights out cold. Driving/hyperspot. Lots of light on the sides and almost a km of light down the road.I like it but after watching many videos I thought the combo would have a bit more flood appearance to the sides.Anyone who wants a light that gets out there...this is it! I have a 42" generic on the roof and this one on the bumper. There is no comparison! I no longer worry about driving through my lights at night.
